The Onion Tells the Truth
It's always a sad day when The Onion tells more truth than most of the mainstream media.
Last month cynorita pointed folks in the Forums to a satire video from The Onion asking, Should we be shaming obese children more?
The resulting 2 minute clip is just marvelous and hits all the nails on their heads. NSFW (language), but worth your time.

Wasn't so crazy about the shot of the heavier woman digging in the giant candy bag, but I do have to admit the comment that went something like, "Running to your room in tears and slamming the door burns a lot of calories" made me LOL.
The sad thing is, in some respects what they're talking about is coming true. Maybe not with insults and little kids, but certainly with employers and heavier employees and health insurance and such.
I saw that part (the fat woman eating candy) as a total dig at stereotypes along with the rest of the piece. Total icing on the proverbial cake.
I'm not really a fan of The Onions sense of humor but that clip did hit alot of points. The clip with the fay woman eating candy was...pretty much why I do not like their humor.
That's some damn good satire right ther. I watched it for the first time when Kate posted it. I love that woman's bit about her handicap child: It makes laugh everytime, but it makes me wonder too.
