Margaret Cho's Diet
Natalie sent over information on Margaret Cho's new anti-diet of sorts. It sounds like she's met self-acceptance and a copy of Overcoming Overeating, and the results are quite good.
I never deny myself a fucking thing because I have denied myself enough for 1000 lifetimes and there is no more denial for me in the way that I live. I deserve all the mozzarella sticks, all the fucking chocolate, all the fucking pizza, all the chicken a'la king, and I deserve to leave what I don't finish on the plate.
This, uh, contains explicit language, as you can imagine. But go read it. Cho lost some weight and a few people jumped to conclusions (ie, WLS), but she's responded quite well here.

It sounds like a good dose of Hirschmann & Munter to me. Of course, not all of us who live this way get thinner, but it is a healthy way to go. I wish her well. And when in hell has she ever been anywhere NEAR large enough so anyone would think she had WLS?

When she had her sitcom back
When she had her sitcom back in the early 90's, the network basically forced her to diet to a point where her kidneys failed and she was in the hospital. As she says in her absolutely hysterical show, _I'm The One That I Want_, she had to lose weight to play *herself*. Appalling.
