''The Fat Lady Sings''

If you're in Philadelphia, it might be worth checking out a show called "The Fat Lady Sings" - it's a one-woman performance that covers the music of role models such as Nell Carter, Mama Cass and Kate Smith while blending in experiences of Carol Provonsha, the performer.
"It's about self-esteem," she says of her celebrated collection of character sketches. "It's not just for the obese. It's about humankind. I'm basically a fat person who's going to get naked and let you know about it, but in the middle of it, since I was raised by drag queens and nuns, it's going to be a colorful ride to get there."
Sounds like a great show, and Carol is quite fat-positive.
