Remember those flyers I'd posted to combat Weight Watchers' co-opting pro-fat language? You do? Well, so did BFBer goddess - and she made some great updated ones.

So here they are! Go nuts.

Thanks, Paul, for putting these up.
I'm looking for some discussion here so we can get concensus and get those flyers out there and working. We could use some real designing, too, on a final product. Nothing fancy or hard to reproduce, but eye-catching, yes?

We still need our public website to be ready if we're handing out flyers sending people to that address.

COFRA members: ACTIVATE!

What can you do? Log into the member site and...

WRITERS: Work on our website's copy. Check the forums to work on the mission statements and elevator statements. Click Build Public Website and "add child page" if the page you want to work on hasn't been created yet. Jump in!

DESIGNERS: We need a graphic design and a final logo. Mock something up and post about it in the Forums if you want to help. You can look at other activism sites for ideas.

RESEARCHERS: The "fat fifty" -- which has become more of a worldwide thing and so possibly needs a different name -- still has room for more local information on the state and local legal position of fat people. Please go ahead and jump in. Please also put links to where you found your information, so we can find more, doublecheck, and keep things updated.

SCIENCE TYPES: We need a really good summary of the state of the science surrounding fat. Go to that part of "Build Public Website" and start writing stuff up! Again, please post links to your sources, too.

VIDEO MAVENS: Maybe a YouTube video making fun of the Weight Watchers campaign would reach even more people. Go to the Forums to discuss it under Projects -> Activism (Electronic)
