BFB is Eight!

I'm proud to announce that BFB has now been going strong for eight years!

This past year has been one of change, much as I'd hoped when I wrote on our seventh anniversary. We've seen fat blogs essentially become the movement this year, with people like Rachel and Joy getting the word out on TV; Kate and TR working on a pro-fat book (hooray!); and of course, rather amazing writing from all over the fatosphere.

In addition, BFB held three Think Tanks and helped create COFRA. COFRA launched work on the Fat Fifty, documenting our legal protections (and lack thereof) in the US; Dare to Show Your Face, promoting the stories behind the "headless fatties" seen on the news; and rolled out a public website, too.

This past week BFB reached 2700 registered members. That's a lot of people!

So, of course, a big thank you to all BFB readers and members for reading and participating. This couldn't have happened without you!
